Where to start?

In Uncategorized on 9 July, 2010 at 12:17 am

Goodness, I don’t know where to start because so much has happened.  I had a crazy final week in Denmark, what with trying to make final visits to different places and museums around Copenhagen, Sankt Hans Aften celebration, the World Cup, and getting ready to go to Croatia, all while wrapping up my in class study and research project.  Then we had a crazy-busy week in Croatia and Slovenia, which was so wonderful and fun, but, like I said, non-stop business.  Then I said my final goodbyes to Copenhagen and came home to Minnesota, but not for long, and am now down in Iowa to detassel for the next few weeks.  It has been so great and so much fun plus I have learned a lot, but I don’t really have time or energy to write it all out now.  Not only that, but I think that anyone who is likely to read this I will be telling my stories to in person anyway.  So, it has been great, but I will not plan to update on here for a while because I think it will keep me from experiencing life as it happens to me for the rest of the summer (at least).

Bye! Thanks for reading (the little I have written) – it’s been great!

And to prove it …

So the weird transportation continued today in Copenhagen.  One of the metro lines was somehow screwed up, so there was a mess at some of the stations.  This picture is of the Nørreport station metro platform #1.  Usually there are only a few people waiting.

It is also worth it to note that it says on the screen that the next train was only 1 1/2 minutes away, which means that a train had just left the station less than two minutes before I took this picture.

And you can only see about 2/3 of that platform because the escalators are in the way.  The entire platform was like this though.

Danish day care

In Danmark on 20 June, 2010 at 11:04 am

We went on a field trip to Hillerød with my cross-cultural psychology class where we toured a Danish day care facility.  Pretty different from US day cares! Below are pictures I took while we were there.
